Metroplex Math Circle

The Metroplex Math Circle meets in room 2.201 of the Engineering and Computer Sciences building on the campus of the University of Texas at Dallas (corner of Rutford and Drive A). Regular sessions are held Saturday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00. Please see the current year schedule on this website for details on each session.

Metroplex Math Circle is intended primarily for students who are 14 and older and show a strong desire to go beyond a standard high school curriculum. Many of these students will use their experience at MMC to excel in national math competitions or to better prepare them for work at elite universities. Younger students with demonstrated mathematical talents are also welcome to participate in the MMC lectures.

UT Southwestern Health & Science Exploring Post

STARS, in collaboration with the Exploring Division of Circle Ten Council, Boy Scouts of America, has started a program for youth who are interested in health and science careers.

Exploring is Learning for Life’s career education program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) or 15 through 20 years old. No other Scouting experience is necessary to participate in the Exploring program. It is designed to help teenagers make educated decisions about their future by allowing them to gain practical experience in different career fields.

The Exploring group, or “Post,” meets once a month during the school year in the evenings on our campus, and is organized by a core group of UT Southwestern volunteers and parents of student participants. In addition to regular meetings, students are invited to take advantage of social activities put on by the Scouting Circle Ten Council.

Coding Clubs at UT Dallas

Are you worried that whole day workshops/camps cover too much content and your children may be overwhelmed? You prefer us to cover the content over several weeks? Do you think it is better to assimilate and build expertise bit slowly? Are you worried that your child may forget the programming skills (s)he learned in Summer? We got you covered with Coding Clubs! Each club runs for 8 weeks and meets weekly once at UT Dallas campus or a few off-site locations.

In each session, they will teach one or two new concepts, then use the remaining time to do a hands-on activity related to those concepts. Visit for directions to reach ECSS building in UT Dallas campus.
